Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit this website or buy Godmode, why, and what rights you have. It does not cover the Godmode app itself: the app runs on your device, has no telemetry and sends nothing to us.

2. Hosting and server logs

The website is served by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) on our behalf. To deliver the pages and protect them against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical connection data such as your IP address, browser and time of access. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; we have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare.

3. Cookieless visitor statistics

We count visits and clicks on this site (for example “pricing viewed” or “checkout started”) with our own, cookieless analytics. We store the page, the event, the referring website’s domain, campaign parameters (utm_*), your country (derived by Cloudflare), a device class and a pseudonymous visitor ID. That ID is a keyed one-way hash (with a secret key) of the date, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent; it changes every day, and your IP address itself is never stored. The statistics set no cookies and store nothing on your device. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding which parts of the site and which campaigns work). Events are deleted after 14 months. We do keep your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage, and after a purchase a strictly necessary, signed session cookie (30 days) lets you reach your license, downloads and billing portal.

4. X (Twitter) pixel — only with your consent

If you click “Accept” in the cookie notice, we load the X conversion pixel from X Corp. (1355 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA; for EU users, Twitter International Unlimited Company, Dublin). It sets cookies and sends X information about your visit and actions on this site (for example a purchase and its value), so we can measure which ads work and show ads to people who visited. X may link this to your X account. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. With consent we also remember in your browser’s local storage which campaign brought you here, so a later purchase can be attributed to it.

5. Buying Godmode (Stripe)

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin, Ireland). When you check out, Stripe processes your name, email, billing address, payment details and, if you provide it, your VAT ID; we receive your name, email, country, the plan and amount, and never your full card details. We use this to fulfil the contract, issue invoices, provide support and meet tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6 (1)(b) and (c) GDPR). We link the purchase to the campaign that brought you here (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Invoicing records are kept for the statutory retention period (up to 10 years).

Downloads and app updates are served through this website from our software repository; we log which build was requested, not who you are.

6. Playbook and launch emails

If you enter your email to get the playbook, we store it with the date and campaign source and email you about Godmode (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe with the link in every email or by writing to us; we then delete your address.

7. Email contact

If you email us, we process your message to answer it (Art. 6 (1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete it when it’s no longer needed, unless retention obligations apply.

8. Transfers outside the EU

Cloudflare, X and Stripe may process data in the USA. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg. Just email kontakt@codext.de.
